THE ALLIANCE: ADVENTURES OF ÜBER-CHAD

ISSUE #1

We've begun pre-sales on our vast and epically illustrated, 200 page, graphic novel. It consists of two parts:

Part #1 - Über-Chad Begins

The story begins with a bold, cinematic graphic novel chronicling the rise of Chad Havok and his enigmatic boss, Rick DeBanks. Both are what the world calls “abnormals” — individuals born with unexplainable, reality-defying powers. But Chad isn’t just any abnormal. He’s a “polymath” — ultra-rare, impossibly gifted, a legend in the making. Genius-level intellect. Peak physical power. Superhero athleticism. He’s good at everything. DeBanks, meanwhile, combines brute strength with strategic brilliance — but his true power? Leadership. The kind that bends even the most dangerous abnormals to his will. In this world, that’s not just charisma — it’s a paranormal force. Naturally, DeBanks is the founder of the most formidable superhero team on the planet: the Alliance.

Rick DeBanks had his first encounter with the shadowy organization known only as the Cathedral before he could even walk — when they tried to kill him as an infant. Years later, after surviving a second assassination attempt, his parents revealed the truth. The Cathedral doesn’t tolerate “talent” it can’t control — and DeBanks was born uncontrollable. From the very beginning, his commanding presence, his uncanny ability to lead even the most volatile abnormals, marked him as a threat. His leadership wasn’t just charisma — it was power. And that made him dangerous.

Over time, DeBanks uncovered the terrifying truth: the Cathedral wasn’t just powerful — it was everywhere, pulling strings across the globe with one goal in mind — total subjugation. To stand against them, he did the unthinkable: he began assembling a team of abnormals. He called them the Alliance. Leading abnormals is no small feat — each one sees themselves as the Final Boss, a force of nature, answerable to no one. But leadership isn’t just DeBanks’ strength — it’s his superpower. Still, even with that gift, it’s standard protocol for abnormals to try and beat the hell out of each other the moment they meet (and often again later, just for good measure). His first recruit? The colossal Ukrainian powerhouse, Marko Belaya — later known to the world as General Havok. Their first meeting was less a conversation and more a demolition event. DeBanks barely survived. But in doing so, he earned something priceless: Marko’s respect. The kind that lasts a lifetime.

DeBanks first caught wind of Chad Havok after rumors surfaced about a kid pulling off borderline-impossible feats at a local middle school science fair — the kind of “ridiculous” that sends up red flags in the abnormal world. DeBanks investigated. What he found wasn’t just talent — it was raw, terrifying potential.Strangely enough, they skipped the usual throwdown that marks most abnormal introductions. Chad, it turned out, was different — unusually grounded for someone wired like a god. Good-natured. Curious. Dangerous, yes, but not volatile. That made him rare. That made him valuable.

The Adventures of Über-Chad #1 kicks off after the formation of the Alliance — the world’s most elite abnormal strike force. This issue flashes back to the wild recruitment of two of its most unusual members: Max Test and Brainstorm. Max Test? He's the result of a covert Reptiloid experiment or "test." He’s part man, part sea urchin — and all nightmare fuel. His skin is biologically fused with what marine biologists call a test — the scientific term for a sea urchin’s impenetrable outer shell. In other words, his body can’t be pierced, cracked, or "tested" by any known method. Add to that a forest of venomous, armor-shredding spines, and you've got one of the most dangerous close-quarters abnormals alive. Yeah, he's weird.  Just be glad he’s on our side.

Brainstorm, by contrast, is a different kind of threat entirely — a Type 6 paranormal. Beautiful. Dangerous. Capable of bending minds with a whisper. DeBanks is used to leading abnormals but paranormals are a whole different ball game. He calls them “the head cases.” Still, if you can command one — or even survive one — you start to understand how the Cathedral keeps its grip on the world. Their influence isn’t just muscle. It’s mental. Both Max Test and Brainstorm were already under the Cathedral’s mind control when Chad and DeBanks first crossed their paths. So yeah — a fight was inevitable. Step one: survive. Step two: deprogram the assets. Step three: turn them against the very machine that made them. Because if the Alliance wants to bring down the Cathedral, they’ll need weapons built by it.

Oh — and yes, there’s an alien connection. A big one. Whispers "on the internet" say that both superheroes and supervillains aren’t just human anomalies — they’re alien descendants. Or, in some cases, ancient aliens themselves, walking among us. We dive deep into that theory in the comic itself — but if you want a head start, check out the video at the top of the page. Missed it? No worries. Here’s the link. Hell, maybe YOU'VE got alien ancestry.

Part #2 - THE LORE

The second part or "aspect" of our graphic novel—integrated seamlessly with the first—is a heroes’ and rogues’ gallery showcasing the incredible superheroes and villains that inhabit the Alliance Universe. Where relevant, we’ll include a bit of biographical info alongside killer character art to bring these personalities to life. We think it’s a great way to introduce readers to the amazing lore of the Alliance Universe and get everyone up to speed. Who doesn't love lore? You’ll meet the entire Alliance team, the sinister Reptiloids, the God Emperor, the Pseudo Chads, Galaxy Brain, Deep State, the Pagan, and many more. In total, the Alliance Universe features over 70 characters—and counting. Check out some of them right here.
